p1: explain how the application of relevant prInciples and values will enable professionals to provide Holistic support for individuals who use social services.
Empowerment of individuals
Empowerment means to give individuals the choice to have a say into something about themselves and to give them information about their life and to allow them to make decisions about their life.
This enables professionals to provide holistic support by allowing the individual to choose for themselves, such as a carer should ask the individual what they want instead of thinking what they want or choosing for themselves what is best for the patient. This would help build up social skills, because when you empower someone you are helping build to confidence and trust between the individual, as you are letting them have a say in what should be done to them, instead of the carer assuming what they want or what they need.

Promotion of Choice
Promotion of choice is allowing the individual have a choice in what they do, it is basically empowering the individual expect you are promoting them and supporting them to have a choice in what they do. This enables professionals to provide holistic support by a carer supporting their patient, to promote their choices in what they should do. This would also provide holistic support because promoting the choices that a service user is entitled to would show confidence because if a service user was to have a choice in things they will be able to say 'No' to a carer if it involves something they do not want.
Promotion of Rights
A promotion of rights means to promote rights towards someone
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because when professionals help promote rights, they are helping their service users know what rights they have and know what they deserve. A carer knows what rights a service user deserves such as meeting their needs, if a carer does not try to meet their needs, it is disrespecting the rights of the service users as they are entitled to the rights that their needs should be met by a social worker. This would also provide holistic support because promoting rights for the service user is letting them know that there is someone to help them with things they can not do for themselves and the carer will gain trust from the service user as they are allowing them help them met their needs.

Recognition of preferences
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because when a professional recognises a preference of their service user, they know what they are capable of doing themselves and what they are not capable of. This would provide good holistic support because knowing the limits of the service user would embale them to have some independence instead of a carer constantly watching over them. When a carer knows the preferences of the service user they will only need to serve them needs.
Involvement of Individuals in Planning their Support
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because it is empowering the patient to help plan their own support toward things. Involving the individuals to plan their own support will show what they feel comfortable with to the carer. The carer will know what support they want and they will know what they can do to help provide thier needs in a more sufficent way, instead of guessing or thinking they know what the service user wants. Allowing the patient to be involved in the planning of their support would create trust towards the carer as the carer is allowing them to have have a say in what they are allowed to do for themselves.
Respect for Religious Beliefs, Moral Beliefs and Values and Culture
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because respecting other cultures and religions helps the service user to feel safe around the professional as they can express or share their view on things towards the professional. If the professional did not respect the service users beliefs and went against them, this would make the service user feel out of place and marginalised from professional like that person. Providing holistic support to people with beliefs enables the person to feel more confident around professionals and they may feel like they can discuss important matters with them.
Anti Discriminatory Practice
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because when a carer helps promote anti discriminatory they are helping the rights of the service user, this would provide holistic support because in helping with the service user with anti discriminatory they are making them feel safe with the enviroment they are in, instead of feeling unsafe with people who will discrimiate them for certain reasons.
Holistic Approach
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because it is giving the support for an individual to feel support by the professionals. If a professional did not provide holistic support, the patient would not feel supported by the professionals and they would feel left out. It is important to provide holistic support as it is part of rights for the service user to be helped as much as possible pay a professional and it is a professionals job to provide holistic support to ensure the patient feels safe when they are around the professional and by ensuring they have holistic support they will feel safe around the professional.

Working in Partnership: a Multi-Disciplinary/ Interagency Approach
This enables professionals to provide holistic support because wokring in partenrships in different agencies, they will come together to help an individual and they will have to provide holistic support for the service user, to make sure they feel comfortable and trustable towards the patients and other staff that have come from different partnerships. This enables professionals to provide holistic support because its is important to provide confidentiality between a carer and a service user. This would provide holistic support because enabling to provide confidentiality that does not need to be shared with anyone else except the people who are entitled to look at it.
